Fetal Doppler – 2MHz Waterproof Obstetrical Probe

Add to compare

A fetal Doppler is basically a device used to detect the heartbeat of the fetus. The Doppler uses the underlying effect to detect the movement of the fetus and also trace the heartbeat of the same.

The handheld ultrasound Doppler has a side mount probe holder that is highly magnetic. This magnet is placed beneath the outer case and this deters the formation of gel so that it can be easily cleaned. Additionally, the probe mounted sideways does not catch on the pockets of the lab. The fetal Doppler is designed ergonomically in a smaller size so that you can easily hold it in your palms and provides the comfort of measuring the heartbeat of the fetus effectively.

Fetal Doppler: ABI machine review

The Doppler is made in such a way that it provides optimal sound quality for all examinations done obstetrically. The handheld ultrasound Doppler has been found to induce a different technology namely the Digital Optimized Processing. This is an advanced form of signal processing that helps convert the audio signals to the video along with curbing the background noise. Also, the quality of the same largely depends on the kind of probe you are using.  In addition to the quality, the ACUDOP II has been made in such a way so that it can be used for multiple years, has a durable stainless steel case and also a case of polycarbonate.

The fetal Doppler has an LCD display that is designed in a way that provides ease of taking readings from several angles and also under different kinds of lighting condition (even under the fluorescent lights). The Doppler display depicts the voltage level of the battery, mute signal, volume and also an indicator of the signal.

Features Of The Handheld Doppler

The handheld ultrasound Doppler is made with a system of smart recharge which deters the recharging of the batteries that are non-rechargeable by signifying the alkaline nature of the batteries. This in a way prevents the leaking or damage of the battery system. Plugging of the adapter onto the port of recharge helps in recharging of the battery. The status of battery charge can be viewed on the display. It appears red while being charged and green after being totally charged.

Additionally, the Doppler shuts down automatically after it is inactive for a duration of 3 minutes. A volume slider present in the main unit helps in adjustment of the 16 different sets of volume. Though the Doppler can be completely muted when you minimize the volume totally, yet the signals can still be heard with a jack connected to the headphones.

The Doppler has a 2 MHZ probe for measuring the fetal heartbeat in case of late pregnancies whereas the 3 MHz probe is used for the general measurements and is the most optimal for detection of heartbeat in the fetus at an early stage and can be used throughout the time period of pregnancy.
