ES-100VX MiniDoppler®  Vascular Ultrasound Doppler Review

Add to compare

The ES-100VX MiniDoppler® is the cheapest and most basic device offered by Hadeco. Hadeco is well-known for its Vascular Ultrasound Dopplers, and they’re offering the ES-100VX as a solution for facilities that are looking for a cost-efficient vascular testing device that can be used on-the-go.

How is it operated and how does it compare to other devices like it? Continue reading in order to learn more.

Features

Hadeco classifies the ES-100 VX as a MiniDoppler, and rightfully so. They do have other handheld vascular devices available for purchase as well, but this model is the smallest. Its size translates proportionately to its features, which means, that it offers the least when compared to other vascular devices manufactured by Hadeco. The most relevant of which include the following:

  • Traditional Handheld Pocket Doppler meant for the manual identification of systolic pressures and fetal heartbeat.
  • Much like most pocket dopplers, it does offer probe attachments (in a variety of waveforms meant for fetal heartbeat assessments and vascular assessments) for interchangeability.
  • Integrated speakers and an audio output port for listening to pulse volume waveforms have been built-in to ensure audio quality
  • Battery operated (not rechargeable, but rechargeable batteries can be purchased separately if needed.)

Tests Performed

As a pocket doppler, it is only to be expected that the ES-100VX MiniDoppler is very limited when it comes to testing capabilities. That being said, however, it still can be used for a lot of the traditional (manual) studies. As a whole, its use as a vascular system allows Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) studies, Fetal Heartbeat examinations, Distal Pulse examinations, and Venous Compressions.

Again, all of these are meant to be performed in the traditional way. This means, that it is fully manual and will require that it be handled by a professional who is able to properly identify and analyze systolic pressure.

ES-100VX MiniDoppler®  Vascular Ultrasound Doppler Review

In conclusion, while the ES-100VX MiniDoppler Vascular Ultrasound Doppler certainly has its uses as a portable vascular testing solution, it’s not what is recommended for larger facilities who expect efficiency and functionality in mind. Again, that’s not to say that it doesn’t have its uses, just that its uses are very specific.

Pros and Cons

A list of pros and cons of the ES-100VX MiniDoppler®  Vascular Ultrasound Doppler System.

PROS:

  • The ES-100VS MiniDoppler’s greatest feature is its size. It’s the smallest in the Hadeco line of vascular testing products, which was purposefully done as a way of providing a cost-efficient solution to on-the-go vascular testing.
  • Integrated hi-fi speakers and an audio output port for accurately testing systolic pressure.
  • Interchangeable doppler probes are available for both vascular testing and the assessment of fetal heartbeat.

CONS:

  • As mentioned, the ES-100VX was created in order to identify a very specific need. It’s small and cheap for this reason. But, because of that, it’s also not as powerful or capable as most of the other vascular testing devices out there.
